Warm, cosy, small country hotel named after a locally born artist. Located close to river Waveney & Angles Way footpath. Interior is in an L shape with the long part being the restaurant, short part contains the bar, a few tables in front of the bar and at the far end is a small lounge with 4 armchairs. Currentl beer dispensed using multi-gas system (CO2/N2) but interested in a non-gas system

Sir Alfred James Munnings (1878–1959) was born in village and according to the Kelly Directory he was still listed as living in the village in 1900 (though at fourteen he was apprenticed to a Norwich printer, designing and drawing advertising posters).
