Historical interest
John Wells sold the pub in 1855.
An advert in the The Bury and Norwich Post** on Tuesday 13th 1866 lists this pub as part of the sale of Stonham Brewery together with 26 other premises.
Charles Cullingham (an Ipswich brewer) bought the pub in 1871 and sold it to Stanhope Tollemache in 1888 (soon afterwards it became part of the Tollemach brewery estate).
In 1937 the pub was listed in Kelly's Directory as one of 220 pubs that were retailing beer that they were brewing.
