The Brewery Tap closed late in 2008. It was in an industrial unit close to Lake Lothing, that was once home to Forbes Brewery and their Brewery Tap until that closed in 1991.
After much refurbishment and an extension to the bar area it re-opened as the Green Jack Brewery Tap in 1992. The original Green Jack Brewery was then located within the same building. After 2002 it was owned by Oulton Ales who refurbished the bar area and operated it as a late night bar and live music venue.
As far as can be ascertained, the building has now been demolished.
Owner/operator: Green Jack
Cavernous bar attached to the brewery, which has benefited from a recent refurbishment. As may be imagined the Green Jack beers are served in impeccable condition. Acoustic sessions on Wed and live bands Fri & Sat eve. Brewery tours and tastings no available in quiet back bar.
