The core of the building dates from the 16th or 17th century, but the façade is 18th century.
Re-opened as a Free House in October 2018 after extensive restoration. New owners offer "quality local ale, fresh kegged beer and a full bar offering, alongside quality home cooked food using local, fresh produce." The Business is now trading as 'The Brewers', dropping the 'Arms'.
