Barclay St., Ipswich
In 1839 and Pigot's 1840 directory Thomas Stearn is listed as a brewer in Barclay St.
A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 17 Jun in 1854 states that:
Auction of freehold property - Lot 3, Two capital Dwelling Houses & Premises, situate in Barclay Street, Ipswich, one of which is a beer-house & now in the occupation of Mr T. STEARN, Brewer; the other is, at present, empty. The whole producing when tenanted, £22 a year. Owner - Abraham ABBOTT, Deceased.
