The 1830 Pigots Directory lists John Frost as a retail brewer

A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 03 Jun in 1837 states that :

The Brewing Plant, Beer Stands & Casks, 2 excellent Cows, Calf & other effects, of Mr John FROST of the Defiant Brewery, St Mary Stoke, Ipswich
