Culpeth, Edmund

High St, Wickham Market

A report in the Ipswich Journal** in Jan 1825 states that :

For the benefit of creditors, to be sold by auction, upon the premises of Edmund Culpeth, High Street, Wickham Market. All his household furniture and effects and brewing plant comprising of 72 gallon copper, as fixed, 300 gallon new mash tun, 150 gallon new mash tun, square cooler, 12ft by 4ft, underback, 4 new 3 barrel beer stands, 2 new one and half barrel beer stands, 10 single barrels, 14 half barrels, 20 casks of different sizes, 150 gallons of strong beer, 200 bundles of lath and between 3 and 4 fathoms of lathwood.
