Barker, Samuel
, Lowestoft
All we know about this brewery is an article in an 18th cent newspaper:
To be sold or lett, a large and commodious Brewing Office and Malting Office in Lowestoft, now occupied by Mr. Samuel Barker, with two Storehouses and other necessary appurtenances...also a very good messuage, in the occupation of Mr. Alexander, surgeon, adjoining the the premises, and near to the market-place. The Brewing Office is now in full trade.....the person who takes them may have leases of the Drawing Houses...Enquire of Mr. Rede of Beccles.Ipswich Journal, 10 May 1777***
