Earl Soham was set up behind the Victoria pub in Earl Soham in 1984 and continued there until 2001 when the brewery moved 200 metres down the road.
In 2013, with no possibility of expanding the then brewery site, the operation was moved to nearby Debenham, where it shares a site with Cliff Quay Brewery, which is part-owned by Earl Soham.
The Victoria and the Station in Framlingham both sell the beers on a regular basis and, when there is spare stock, it is supplied to local free houses and as many beer festivals as possible.
Brandeston Gold is brewed using barley grown for the brewery at a farm in Brandeston and locally grown hops.
