Trimley St Martin Boat
Trimley St Martin Boat
South West, 51.99425,1.30422
Closed: before 1840
High Rd
grid reference TM 269 380
Now residential and called Boat Cottages.
No record of this pub has been found in licensing records, neither does it appear on old maps as a pub (the 1881 OS map shows it as Boathouse Cottage), so presumably it closed a long time ago. Apparently the Boat was built in the 1820s.
It isn't entirely clear which part of the building was actually the beerhouse, though the plaque on the wall suggests it was probably the section to left of centre with light-coloured render on the first floor.
