The pub is shown on this old OS map from about the end of the 19th century interactive map
Located at TL703834. It was situated at a bridge crossing an old drainage canal, now dried out itself by the building of a bigger cut-off channel to protect the fens in the 1960's. The building was demolished, very little evidence remains. Tried to buy beer here as a 14 year old but was refused! Guess at closure around 1960, photos exist showing it to be a Bullards house.

Historical interest
A report in the Bury & Norwich Post, April 24th 1900**, states that at a public auction held at the Bull Hotel the High Bridge free public house was submitted for public competition and was knocked down to the Star Brewery Co.
In 1937 the pub was listed in Kelly's Directory as one of 220 pubs that were retailing beer that they were brewing.
