Little is known about the Little White Horse, except that it was apparently listed in a church rate book in the early 17th century.
An article in the Ipswich Journal in 1784 suggests that it had closed before then.
Historical interest
Whereas several Razors have been lost out of the Shop of Stephen Bedwell, Peruke Maker in the Butter-Market, Ipswich (reward offered). The said Stephen Bedwell now keeps the White Horse in St Nicholas-street (and has retained his Shop in the Butter-Market)…
