A small village local on the outskirts of the settlement, which retained an off-sales window between the two bars.
Although planning permission to demolish the pub and build four houses was submitted in June 2011, the building itself has been converted into residential use.
Reported at 1 Howards Lane in the 1871 & 1881 censuses.
