North East, 52.47989,1.74831
Cask Ale is sold here.
72 Love Rd, NR32 2NZ
grid reference TM 546 934
owner/operator: Tim Dunford (Green Jack Brewery)
Now owned by Green Jack Brewery and located very close to the brewery and 60 metres from Lowestoft Town Football Club. The pub has been completely refurbished with the main bar serving a front lounge with bench seating and a back room with the pub's kitchen to the side. There is a garden at the rear which has access to the brewery. Open Thu-Sun initially with food available on these days.
The OS town plan from the late 19th century shows the building as "Havelock Cottage", suggesting that the pub didn't open until after that time. So the earliest recorded publican (in 1900) may perhaps have been the first.
