Now residential. A planning application to change the pub to residential use was lodged in April 1997, so it probably closed about that date.
In the September/October 1982 edition of Last Orders*** it was reported that Brian Lamb had been at the Plough (Free house) since April and it remained unchanged with Adnams on handpump.

The employees of Edwin Clark, of Church Farm, Bedingfield, celebrated a harvest ‘horkey’, by enjoying a thoroughly good dinner at the Plough Inn, Southolt, which Mr Shemings, the landlord provided for the 28 who sat down. Ipswich Journal, Sep 1895**
