Ballingdon St, Sudbury
Founded c1793. Brewed at different times at the White Horse on Ballingdon St and at Cross Street breweries - Cross St eventually became Angel brewery.
In 1865 Edwin Christie Mauldon is listed as a Brewer & wine merchant at the White Horse
A report in the Ipswich Journal** in jan 1895 states :
Died on the 2nd January, Emma Butcher, beloved wife of Edmund Butcher, Ballingdon Brewery, aged 42 years.
We are not sure what role Mr Butcher had at the brewery.

Acquired by Greene King & Sons Ltd in 1958 (with 22 public houses)
