Culford
Introduction
Recorded in Domesday as "Culeforda" and appearing on John Speed's 1610 map as "Culfurth".
Culford Hall is a late-16th century country house, now used as a public school.
One side of the village sign depicts an iron bridge in the grounds of the school; it was constructed in 1803, making it one of the earliest iron bridges in the country.
