Darmsden
Introduction
An ancient parish which was for centuries incorporated into Barking. It again became a separate parish on December 20th 2012.
Darmsden appears on John Speed's 1610 map as "Dermisden".
During gravel digging at Moor's Hill, a settlement used in the Bronze Age, Iron Age and Roman period was uncovered.
