Important Covid information

If all goes according to plan, the first tranche of pubs (those that are able to serve drinkers outdoors) may be able to reopen on April 12th. Though of course, in a situation like this, nothing is guaranteed. The rest of our pubs may be permitted to reopen from May 17th.

Pubs providing takeaways continue to be listed on this page.

Those known to be planning to reopen as soon as permitted are listed on this page.

There are modern references to Pye Hall on Fiddler's Lane (which runs off the Hoxne Road).

The building in our photograph has been confirmed as the old beerhouse by the present owner (2014).

I am doing a family tree for a lady called Diane Metcalf (nee Turner). She is related to the Green family through her grand mother's side and George Green, publican of the Pie Hall Inn, was her 3rd great uncle.Peter Dawson
