In the light of the government announcement of March 20th, all pubs are now closed until further notice.

Some of them may well still be offering a takeaway beer service and some others will also be selling food takeaways, perhaps even with delivery. If you can give any of our pubs some support through these terrible times by buying some takeaway food or drink, please do so. The building dates from the early 17th century. It's now used for offices.

The Castle was originally at number 20; quite when the license moved is uncertain.

The Woodbridge licensing records show that the Castle's license was transferred to the Mariner's Arms on March 31st 1950.

It isn't listed as a pub in the 1911 census.
