Woodbridge Royal William
Woodbridge Royal William
also traded as King Billy, Victoria
South, 52.09463,1.31162
closed 1973
4 Theatre St
grid reference TM 269 492
It's shown on this OS town plan of 1881 (larger map).
The 1904 Woodbridge licensing records show that the Royal William's license was issued in 1843. Whether this was when it was first licensed or when it got a full (ie not just beer) license isn't clear, though the latter seems more probable.
Now a private residence, the building dates from the 18th century.
