The Hole in the Wall was built early in the 17th century.

It closed on January 8th 1921 under a scheme to reduce the number of "excess" alcohol licenses.

The pub is sometimes reported in Cripplers or Cripples Lane.

NOTE: we have a photo of how the building still looks today but have been asked by the current owner not to publish it.
