The majority of pubs have now reopened after the latest lockdown, albeit still with restrictions. Many pubs currently have temporary trading hours; these are shown where known. We also show pubs we know have still not reopened as temporarily closed.

Please note that due to the pandemic currently being allowed to run out of control, many pubs are having to close temporarily due to staff or customers getting "pinged". Please check with the pubs if you plan to travel any distance.

Kenny Hill Rising Sun

Kenny Hill Rising Sun

also traded as Eagle & Rising Sun

Closed between 1920 and 1970

Mildenhall Drove

grid reference TL 663 803

The original building is gone and has been replaced by a bungalow.

(info from P Winters)

The pub may also be listed at Mildenhall Fen (in 1874).

A report in the Ipswich Journal, September 27th 1859**, refers to the Rising Sun at Lakenheath (Cross Bank Farm), 3 miles from Mildenhall Station? could this be the same pub?

It's shown on this old OS map from about the end of the 19th century. interactive map
