26 Market Place

grid reference TL 916 493 (approximate location)

According to Jim Robinson's Lavenham's Pubs, Inns and Beer Houses (available from the Tourist Information centre) this pub is thought to have been at the end of the Guildhall, though there is a degree of doubt about this.

The Listed Buildings Register for the Guildhall building makes mention of the fact that the Rose & Crown probably took up the end of the building.
