Lavenham Rose & Crown
Lavenham Rose & Crown
North West, 52.10886,0.79684
Closed: before 1840
26 Market Place
grid reference TL 916 493 (approximate location)
According to Jim Robinson's Lavenham's Pubs, Inns and Beer Houses (available from the Tourist Information centre) this pub is thought to have been at the end of the Guildhall, though there is a degree of doubt about this. The Listed Buildings Register also says "This building is said to have been at one time, an inn called the Rose and Crown", though one reference may build on the other.
The Listed Buildings Register for the Guildhall building makes mention of the fact that the Rose & Crown probably took up the end of the building.
