The Ipswich licensing records show that the Kingfisher's original beerhouse license was granted in 1955. It got a full license on March 13th 1972, at which time the following conditions applied to its music,dancing and singing license:
Mon-Fri 2pm - 12pm, Saturday 2pm - 1130pm, NO SUNDAYS. Numbers restricted to 46 persons on dancing area and 150 persons on the licensed premises (including the dancing area).
