Historical interest
The original pub building is shown on this old OS map from about 1902 (interactive map)
Died on the 21st after a day's illness, aged 53, Elizabeth, wife of Edward Moye of the Red Lion Inn.Ipswich Journal, September 1880**
Real Ale has returned to this pub after many years of fizz. A new hand-pump was fitted in December 2012 after serving various beers from a polypin on the counter for some time before. However, this initiative apparently only lasted a short while.
