In 1937 the pub was listed in Kelly's Directory as one of 220 pubs that were retailing beer that they were brewing.
The name was changed to the Three Buccaneers in March 2010.
It re-opened late November 2010 as a Polish club (but open to the public) after having been closed and semi-derelict for some years. The Pudzianowski name was a reference to a well-known Polish pugilist, Mariusz Pudzianowski.
