It's shown (albeit not marked as a pub) on this OS town plan from 1894 (larger map).
Now residential, this building dates from the mid 19th century. The Listed Buildings Register confirms this as the correct building, as does the Newmarket Pubs website, which tells us that in earlier times (certainly before 1861) it was called the Queen.
