George Crosby was asked to leave the Red House for using foul language but he refused. He was fined 6d with 8s 6d costs. He with others were drinking the landlords beer. Cornish had for the last 30 years given away beer on Christmas Day to his customers, in this case 6 gallons.Bury & Norwich Post, January 22nd 1878** (when Henry Cornish was the landlord)
