Willingham St Mary

Introduction

A tiny village on the edge of Sotterley park. The Fox is normally referred to as being located in Shadingfield, but actually lies just within the Willingham parish.

The village was recorded in Domesday as "Willingaham". A Deserted Mediaeval Village has been identified in the east of the parish, near the road between Elllough and Sotterley.
