Historical interest
Timothy Murphy, an Irish tramp was found guilty of being drunk and disorderly and sentenced to 5 days imprisonment with hard labour. The case was proved by Thomas Parker, landlord of the Myrtle Inn, who stated that Murphy was worse for drink and that he brandished a stick at several persons in Fore Hamlet, Ipswich.Ipswich Journal, De 1885**
