It's reported at 33 Vernon Street in 1891 and earlier. Located close to the junction with Little Whip street.
The pub was demolished along with most of the other buildings on this side of the street as part of a major road improvement.
Historical interest
At the Ipswich Petty Sessions held in September 1865, Mr Godfrey made an application for a spirit license for the Vernon Arms, Vernon Street. The house belongs to Mr Cullingham. The applicant stated that he had stabling for 10 horses. Application rejected. Ipswich Journal, Sep 1865**
