Important Covid information

If all goes according to plan, the first tranche of pubs (those that are able to serve drinkers outdoors) may be able to reopen on April 12th. Though of course, in a situation like this, nothing is guaranteed. The rest of our pubs may be permitted to reopen from May 17th.

Pubs providing takeaways continue to be listed on this page.

Those planning to reopen when permitted are listed on this page.

Closed before 1874

The Street

grid reference TM 423 757

We have studied licensing records from 1874 through to 1967 and found no sign of this pub. In addition, it doesn't appear on any available OS maps (at least as early as 1884, so it must have closed a long time ago.

The building is identified as an old inn by the Listed Buildings Register, though no name is given.
