The Cliff Hotel was described in 1912 as having "cuisine special, terms moderate, electric light, lift to all floors".
It's listed in a 1928 directory as being on the "Sea front".
The Woodbridge licensing records show that the Cliff was granted a full (ie not just beer) license on May 3rd, 1946. Planning permission to convert the hotel into a nursing home was lodged in June 1989, so it probably closed not long before that.
It has now been converted into a block of flats.
