Hotel currently closed (May 2020) and boarded up - proposals revealed by owners in 2013 to redevelop site into a mixture of private accommodation, boutique hotel, restaurant and shops was approved in Jan 2018.
The Flying-boat Bar was a public bar that was just a part of this large & extensive hotel complex that enjoys fine views over the promenade.
