Now under new ownership, this listed Pub dates from the early 16th century and has been completely renovated and reopened officially on 2nd Oct 2017. Extensive refurbishment featuring a new restaurant extension at the back that's glazed to feel like it's outdoors.
One of the oldest buildings in the village, it's heavily timber-framed and retains an inglenook fireplace. It's the only pub with this name in the entire country.
Permission was given to the Chestnut Group for seven single-storey holiday lodges to be built on the pub grounds in February 2022.
