Although the government has now allowed pubs to reopen, many are still unable to do so safely, while most if not all are only able to accommodate limited numbers of customers. Many of them are still reliant on providing takeaway food and/or drinks. Some offer deliveries, while others are selling from the premises. This page lists details of those we know about.

If you can give any of our pubs some support through these difficult times by buying some takeaway food or drink, please do so. Our pubs need as much support as possible if they're going to still be there for us when the crisis is over.

Stradbroke Crown Beerhouse

Stradbroke Crown Beerhouse

Closed 1840-1920

New St

grid reference TM 228 738 (approximate location)

Having examined all available Hoxne licensing records (1913-1968) without finding any reference to this pub, we conclude it probably closed before 1913.

There is an un-named beerhouse run by Sarah Voller, whose license was expired in 1913 - it may have been this pub. Though the 1910 Rate book lists the Red Lion, run by Alice Voller, so it seems more probable that the latter was the one that closed in 1913.
