Important Covid information

If all goes according to plan, the first tranche of pubs (those that are able to serve drinkers outdoors) may be able to reopen on April 12th. Though of course, in a situation like this, nothing is guaranteed. The rest of our pubs may be permitted to reopen from May 17th.

4 pints of your favourite with two brand new pub glasses, and pub beermats .

ALSO: 4 pint sealed containers.

A range of lagers, ciders and ales, pulled from the pumps direct to your door. Your favourite draught delivered to you at home, in a sealed container, and distancing applies.

The containers are provided with safewipes - we want you to remain safe and happy!

Privately owned local community two bar free house with several areas for sitting and drinking. The front bar has one hand pump and tables for seating and leads to a sports area and the back bar serves three real ales on hand pump with tables, bar stools and sofas for seating with a patio area to the back. A Lacon plaque can be found on the outside wall, although the pub was reported in the press as being built by Colchester Brewing Company in 1902. Live sports and music via plasma screen. Darts & pool are played here regularly and the pub's teams play in local leagues.
