pub/restaurant/music venue, opened 1997
Opened in mid November 2018 as a sister pub to the Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester. Functioning as a pub, restaurant and music venue.
Their long term plan is to have a ground floor ‘tap house’, serving over 20 draught beers from keg and cask, spirits, cocktails, wine and coffee.
The first floor will provide a spacious bar and kitchen with food served throughout the day, including slow smoked barbecue food and burgers.
Mr Tonkinson, the owner, also hopes to turn the basement area into a gin bar, with a `speakeasy’ vibe, to make it a hidden gem of Ipswich nightlife, and is currently in discussion with the planning authority.EADT
