Opened in mid November 2018 as a sister pub to the Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester. A spacious three-floor modern tap house and barbecue smokehouse restaurant in Ipswich town centre offering a wide range of real ales, craft beers and pub favourites, with dedicated private hire space in the basement. Tasting racks available to try 4 x 1/3 pints of beer. Minimum of 2 handpumps and a wide selection of craft beers featuring beers from their own Other Monkey Brewing, brewed in Colchester.

Originally opened in 1997 as the Hogshead (part of a national chain owned by Greene King), then later turned into Lloyd's Tavern. This closed in 2010 and the building was subsequently boarded up for 8 years.
