Although the government has now allowed pubs to reopen, many are still unable to do so safely, while most if not all are only able to accommodate limited numbers of customers. A popular modern hotel close to the A12, A14 and A1071 road junctions, which has a large comfortable lounge bar. Mainly used by businessmen during the week but it often hosts weddings at weekends.

Although actually within the boundaries of Sproughton, this inn is often listed as being in Ipswich.

The license was granted on March 2nd 1971.
