Ixworth Thorpe Royal Oak
Ixworth Thorpe Royal Oak
also traded as Oak
Closed 2008 or earlier
Thetford Rd (A1088), IP31 1QP
grid reference TL 915 730
The pub was found closed and boarded up in July 2008, presumably for some time. Though it had still been open when visited in April the previous year.
It has now been converted to housing; sadly none of the house names reflects the building's history, so there's no clue left that there was ever a pub here.
Recorded in 1936 as The Oak, according to A Survey of Suffolk Parish History.
