The Boathouse closed suddenly in September 2023. Owners said the decision was not down to the cost of living crisis, but the result of behind the scenes matters.
In 2024 it was converted into a steakhouse.

Closed for some time (probably from about 2007) and found reopened when visited in April 2016.
The Boathouse was closed down early in March 2018 due to serious hygiene breaches. It reopened in April under new ownership as the Riverside.
