A multi-level pub with a separate dining area. There is a low ceiling in the snug area. lots of exposed beams throughout. Large fireplace in main bar surrounded by various horse brasses. The pub also has a large garden where petanque is played.
This is the oldest building in the parish, dating from the 17th century.
It seems to have been renamed about 2017/2018, though some signage still bears the original name.

The 1892 Kelly's Directory lists the Parrot & Punchbowl as being in Saxmundham; we are assuming that they actually meant this pub as we have never seen reference to any pub of this name anywhere in Suffolk apart from Aldringham.
