Important Covid information

Although the latest lockdown has now ended, Suffolk remains in Tier Two, which means that drinks on the premises can only be sold with "substantial" meals. This of course rules out reopening for the vast majority of pubs. As and when pubs reopen, we will list them on this page and highlight them on location pages.

Many pubs which are unable to reopen yet (and some that have reopened) are selling food and drink to take away. These are listed on this page.

Long Brackland used to stretch along what's now St John Street, so the pub may have been there.

Listed at 15 Long Brackland in 1891 and 1901 censuses. (The Seven Stars was listed at 18 in these censuses, placing this pub 3 properties towards St John St.)

This was located on the left hand side of the road as travelling from Ipswich Arms; you could walk through to what is now Ipswich court. The PH was mid way down Long Brackland.G Reeve
