The closure date of the Ferry was recorded in the Borough Police licensed premises register 1903-1923. The pub was subsequently demolished.
The Street number was taken from 1916 Kelly's Directory.
The 1916 Kelly's Directory lists only one property between Robinson Street & Kemp Street, on the north side of Bath Street, which is an unnamed beer retailer.

An advert in the The Bury and Norwich Post, Tuesday March 13th 1866**, lists this pub as part of the sale of Stonham Brewery together with 26 other premises.
At the Ipswich Petty Sessions held on the 25 March 1875, the license for the Ferry, Bath Street, Ipswich, was transferred from Elizabeth Channing to John Harlow.Ipswich Journal, Mar 1875**
