Friendly main bar has two TV screens showing live sport and there is a darts area and pool table. There are regular music nights. Dogs are welcome.

The pub must have been built in the first third of the 20th century, as it is not shown on maps from 1902, though it is on maps from 1938. It was pre-dated by a nearby beerhouse, and it appears that the license from that house transferred here.
