Old OS maps do not make it entirely clear which building here was the pub. The timber-framed building on the left seems like it may be the most likely, as the brick-built one on the right is called "The Old Bank House". If you have any concrete information, please let us know.

William Edgeley, who was celebrating his 64th birthday, stated in court that he was not drunk but had had "a leetle too much". Sargeant was charged with allowing drunkenness on his premises, he was fined and his licence endorsed.Bury & Norwich Post, January 22nd 1878** (when David Sargeant was the landlord)
Bryant aged 39 was given 12 months hard labour for arson, he had been seen close to a stack of straw shortly before the alarm was raised. He claimed he not been near to the stack that which belonged to him.
