Important Covid information

If all goes according to plan, the first tranche of pubs (those that are able to serve drinkers outdoors) may be able to reopen on April 12th. Though of course, in a situation like this, nothing is guaranteed. The rest of our pubs may be permitted to reopen from May 17th.

Pubs providing takeaways continue to be listed on this page.

Those known to be planning to reopen as soon as permitted are listed on this page.

The pub has a large collection of pictures of RAF Chedburgh.

The pub was reported by West Suffolk CAMRA in December 2016 to be closed with a change of use request lodged. A public meeting was held on Monday January 18th and was attended by around 70 people. it seems the village wants its pub back.

A local campaign has been set up to try to buy the pub for the community.

The pub can be seen on this old OS map from about 1902 (interactive map)
