The building dates from the early 15th century, with 16th and 18th century extensions.

We have examined the Hartismere licensing records from 1923 to 1962 and found no trace of this pub. It isn't shown on any OS map (we've looked back as far as 1886) so it must have closed a long time ago.

Identified by the Listed Buildings Register which says "Formerly known as The White Hart and from c.1700 as White Hart Farm".
