A reference appears in the Ipswich Journal, September 28th 1754*** to Wm. Moulton at the King's-Head in Boxford.
To be lett, the King's head Inn, Boxford, lately in the Occupation of Mr Ambrose Pitkin, deceased, and now his Widow, with or without a good Malting Office, and five Acres of enclosed Land, contiguous to the House.
